Enjoy the advantages our scripts have that you won't find using only the
ODE:
When a full version of Access 2000 is loaded on top of an ODE created Access 97
Runtime, the Access 2000 installer automatically removes the Access 97 runtime.
When the user then runs the Access 97 runtime application, access 2000 opens it
and the user is asked whether they want to open it or convert it to the 2000
format. Our scripts load an Access 97 runtime which is independent of Access
2000 and is not removed by the Access 2000 installer.
When Office 2000 is present on the target PC and the Access 97 Application uses
object libraries, the application fails using the ODE Runtime. Our scripts
provide tools to properly register Object Libraries allowing the Access 97
Application to work in the presence of Office 2000
When a full version of Access 95, 97, 2000, 2002, 2003 or 2007 exists on the
users PC, the installation does not overwrite the settings with the runtime
settings.
Our runtime doesn't display a splash screen registered to the Developers name
and company.
An independent set of runtime files are loaded that continue to work when a full
version of Access is loaded and then removed.
The installation can be forced to reboot upon completion. This is required if
you use an Access database for post installation database setup.
