SageKey has been designing and developing applications to run on Microsoft Windows since our inception
in 1996. Our humble roots are reflected in our developer tools; we originally built our name around
our expertise in Microsoft Access installations. However, in the last fifteen years we have broadened
our horizons and our core offering is application development.

SageKey has been developing both simple and complex web applications since 2002 and is well versed in

Database Development
SageKey has been building and maintaining business database applications for the desktop and web for
the past 15 years. Our area of focus and expertise is with the Microsoft suite of programming tools,
i.e. Visual Studio, SQL Server, Access, Excel, and ASP.Net.
Many developers base their projects on Microsoft Access, understanding the need for a structured way
to store data while favouring the simplicity of the Access environment. However, as their projects grow,

the Local Search Association (formerly the Yellow Pages Association).
SageKey was originally hired to create an installation for LSA’s IRIS Desktop application; however, over the course of time, our vendor – customer relationship
has blossomed into a partnership. SageKey has designed and developed outstanding software year after year for the Local Search Association, and we have become an
extension of their IT Department.
By supplying resources, generating ideas and assisting with trouble shooting for the Local Search Associations in house tools and external business applications,
SageKey is a true partner in LSA’s long term plan.

SageKey was hired by the Neurovascular Research Foundation to develop a custom patient registry used
to monitor and assess the effectiveness of several types of stroke treatments and techniques. They had
been using an off-the-shelf registry solution for several years; however, they decided they needed a
custom solution after being repeatedly limited by poor data validation and inadequate customization.
The software we developed allows accurate, validated data to be collected without over burdening the
end user. The built in benchmarking provides immediate results to the end users and registry administrators.
The software was developed to be HIPAA compliant and all patient related data is encrypted to protect
the privacy of the patients.

In 2004 the Local Search Association (then called the Yellow Pages Association)
asked SageKey to build a complex ASP.Net web-based application with the same functionality
as their existing desktop application. Both the timeframe and budget for the project
were tight.
SageKey put a three-person team on the project and delivered on time and on budget.
The application was presented at a national convention a week later to rave reviews.
The web application was built using asp.Net with a SQL Server backend and gives
users access to terabytes worth of current and historical Yellow Pages data and
files.
Over the years the application has had a lot more functionality added and has gone through
several revisions and versions. It now far surpasses the original application in
every way.

SageKey was hired in 2010 by the Local search Association (formerly Yellow Pages Association) to expand the existing Yellow Pages Indexing system
into a more robust system that could handle an increased workload, higher throughput and expanded reporting.
Over the course of the next year, the project’s scope continued to expand right up to the release. In the end, SageKey delivered a multifaceted product
consisting of two websites, four windows applications and a dozen windows services.
All of these applications work together to provide a straight forward and easy to use reporting website that allows the end user to make sense of extremely complex data.

BREEZE
Online custodial management service, including mobile app companion site.

Breeze Software has an application for managing custodial services. They wanted to bring it to the web
and make it mobile. We developed a website for them that provides similar functionality to its desktop
counterpart. We developed an application to allow their customers to synchronize their local data with
the website, plus an iPhone-optimized mobile site that their customers can use in the field.
Inspections performed on-site are automatically kept in sync and their clients can sync that data back
to their desktops when ready. The website also recreates a number of the reports and graphs from the
desktop software, making it easier for distributed teams to view and work with their data.

In 2007 the Local Search Association (then called the Yellow Pages Association) again teamed with SageKey
to bring its vision of giving its member clients and CMRs the ability to design their own in-house tools
around IRIS ONLINE headings data.
SageKey desgined a multi-level web service that interfaces not only with LSA subscribers but a cerntal
repository of Yellow Pages directories. This allows clients to request any one of over fifteen million
headings, which can then be show to their clients. This system replaces an old and very time and resouce
intensive practice of an employee phsically tearing a page from a Yellow Pages directory so it could
then be sent to a client. This is why LSA Web Services are commonly refered to as "The Tear Pages Service".

DIRECTORY CODE REQUEST
Online service simplifying the process of managing thousands of advertisement directories.

The Local Search Association is the central distrubutor of directory information for its members. In
order to facilitate this across more than 8,500 published directories, each directory must have its
own unique directory code. In the past, this would involve either calling the association directly,
or filling out a paper form and faxing it to them for processing.
When the LSA approached SageKey about automating the process, we were more than happy to help!
Working with LSA programmers and staff SageKey developed a helpful and easy to use online form, simplifying
the process for everyone involved. The website then emailed the standardized, completed form to LSA
staff where it could be verified and entered into the LSA IRIS system. Codes were also embedded into
the emailed form that would allow either LSA staff, or the company that created the request, to return
to the site and make any changes or continue filling out missing information.

DIALYSIS DATA MANAGER
Electronic Medical Records system to manage data from kidney dialysis machines.

Amgen Pharmaceutical hired SageKey to develop a full Electronic Medical Records system to manage patient
data within Dialysis Clinics. This software system contains all of the patient records and replaces
the traditional patient chart. As dialysis patients need to come in to the clinic 3 times a week for
a 4 hour appointment, paper records often grow to a file many feet thick.
The software we developed collects data directly from the dialysis machine and downloads patient laboratory
results electronically. A rich set of graphing and reporting tools were added for physicians to view
their patients' health over time. The software was developed to
FDA medical device standards and passed an independant audit for the applicable
FDA standards for patient privacy, medical devices and electronic signatures.

in designing a web based application that would merge three separate desktop applications.
Working closely with LSA developers and staff, SageKey Software and the Local Search Association came
up with CO-OP ONLINE. The completed project accomplished several objectives.
- A centralized location where CMRs could search for and find information on co-op programs available
to their clients.
- A central and easy to maintain place where LSA staff could add and edit co-op program information.
- A repository for authorized images that can be used in Yellow Pages co-op advertising.
- The ability to generate the bi-annual co-op advertisers handbook from the live data.

YELLOW PAGES INDEXING

SageKey was hired in 2006 by the Local search Association (formerly Yellow Pages Association) to develop a system that could rapidly index Yellow Pages directories.
The requirements were steep as accuracy and performance were extremely important in determining the products eventual feasibility.
With each publisher, and in many cases each directory within a publisher, having
different colors, layouts and quirks, the system had to be very powerful, yet flexible
enough to handle the nuances of font, color and layout changing from directory to
directory.
There was little tolerance for error and the system had to handle up to four thousand Yellow Pages directories per year.
Sagekey delivered a set of applications that automates over 95% of the process, provides real time monitoring and reporting and completely integrates with several of
LSA’s existing applications. The system was a major success and has been expanded several times since the initial release in order to incorporate new types of directories.
The applications are still in use today and provide data to several of the Local Search Associations key business areas.
