We are still using old SageKey A2K installation scripts for Wise, and now want to upgrade to A2007. Our existing installation does the following:
1. Verifies a CD key (from prebuilt list of keys) 2. Copies in several backend databases 3. Creates compacting shortcuts for all backends 4. Creates specific registry keys our app is looking for 5. Copies and creates shortcuts to PDF docs
The new A2007 (trial) installer seems to be wizard-only and does not allow for all of the above features. Is full version different? Will we be still able to use our prebuilt list of CDkeys (that was done in Wise Installer)? Also, is there any upgrade pricing for A2K scripts users?
Thanks!

Hi Peter,
I'll go down the points in order.
1: The Access Deployment Wizard does not support registration such as CD keys
2: Yes you can copy in several Backend Databases by loading them as Support Files.
3: Yes you can create multiple compacting shortcuts.
4: Yes you ca create custom registry keys.
5: Yes you can create custom shortcuts to other files.
The Access Deployment Wizard does not have an upgrade path from an Access 2000 Wise script. Upgrades are available when moving to a new version of the same technology (Wizard/Wise) with the same version of Access.

To clarify: there's no way to include registration/CDkeys in A2007 installer? Thanks!
