Here is the issue. We have an application originally written in Access 97 that we have supported for many years now. Recently we converted the application to Access 2003 for Windows7. We are using the Sagekey installation and running the application with the 2003 Runtime.

When the data database is loaded on the local workstation, the application runs great but when you link to a data file over a Microsoft Peer to Peer network, the application slows to a painfully slow crawl. The screens that opened instantly with the data local now take over 60 secs to open.

Can anyone make any suggestions as to how I might speed things up?

Bob

After doing more testing, it seems that the slow performance is on the Windows 7 computer only. The XP sp2 seem to run with little performance loss.
